This lovely scenic walk will take you from the cottage to Whitby via the railway line in Ruswarp. A scenic walk that takes in views of the viaduct, highland cows and river views. It is roughly 2.5 miles long and you arrive in Whitby by the car park on the harbour, close to the steps to Whitby Abbey.

Take the road leaving the cottage down the hill to the main road, once reaching the main road turn left into Ruswarp. There is a footpath on the right hand side of the road that starts after around 100 meters so please take care for the first part.
Once in Ruswarp head towards the train station and the bridge. Once past the train station you will see a permitted walking sign heading along the railway track follow this path all the way to Whitby. When you reach the boat yard you will find yourself in the car park for Whitby Harbour.
